Core principles
Raids Attack & Defense

Focus on strong Raid application, control, and sustain. Same principles apply on attack and defense.

Raid Attack

Goal: Apply Raid stacks quickly, then convert into damage.

  • • Prioritize champions that apply Raid from skills
  • • Pair them with high single-target damage
  • • Control (stun / pacify / strip) keeps the fight clean
  • • Avoid pure shield walls — many bosses punish them
  • • Fury, Enraged, and critical pressure are strong partners
  • • Keep pressure up after the first Raid stacks land

Raid Defense

Goal: Survive the first turns and punish over-aggression.

  • • Strong Taunt + sustain is the foundation
  • • Counter-attack and shield-break value is high
  • • Brienne-style and Corlys-style kits perform well
  • • A cleanser or buffer helps a lot
  • • Durability > pure burst on defense
  • • Teams that still function after one KO are valuable
Priority order: 1) Reliable Raid → 2) Real damage → 3) Control or sustain. Strong pieces in the right roles already put you ahead.
What a good Raid Attack team usually has:
  • At least one consistent Raid applier (skill-based preferred)
  • 1–2 real damage dealers that can finish once Raid is up
  • Some form of control or strip
  • Optional: a support that keeps the damage dealers alive long enough
Role examples (from current roster data):
  • Taunt / Sustain: Brienne of Tarth, Corlys Velaryon
  • Raid / Pressure: Euron Greyjoy, certain dragon champions
  • Control / Utility: Night King, Ned Stark, Jon Snow
  • Damage: Adolescent dragons, Daemon, high-attack legendaries

Use whatever strong versions of these roles you own. These are role guides, not forced lists.

Common mistakes to avoid:
  • Stacking too many Shields against bosses that erase them
  • Having Raid but no real damage to finish the job
  • Putting every key tool on one team and leaving the others weak
  • Ignoring leader skills that boost the whole squad
Attack checklist:
  • Consistent Raid applier?
  • Real damage once Raid is up?
  • Any control or strip?
  • Over-relying on Shields the boss will erase?
War 4 Non-Overlapping Teams

Build four strong, non-overlapping teams. Outpost bonuses help, but solid team strength matters most.

TEAM 1
Primary Offense

Your strongest synergy. The team you trust in hard fights. Best damage + best support together.

TEAM 2
Control / Sustain

Taunt + durability. Good for holding or absorbing pressure. Brienne / Corlys style kits shine here.

TEAM 3
Raid / Burst

Heavy Raid + burst damage. Strong into many defensive setups. Put best Raid appliers here with enough damage to finish.

TEAM 4
Flex / Specialist

Remaining strong pieces. Can lean toward a specific outpost bonus if needed.

Building order:
  1. Strongest 5 → Team 1
  2. Next best sustain / Taunt core → Team 2
  3. Remaining Raid + damage → Team 3
  4. Leftover strong pieces → Team 4
What good War teams look like:
  • Team 1: Clear win condition + enough support to execute it
  • Team 2: Hard to kill, forces the enemy to work for every KO
  • Team 3: Raid + damage that can crack defensive walls
  • Team 4: Still a real team, not just leftovers with no synergy
Practical tips:
  • Field the four strongest teams you can. Outpost matching is a bonus, not a requirement.
  • Spread Taunt and Raid so they appear on more than one team.
  • Four complete teams beat three strong ones and one empty shell.
  • Strong leader skills belong in the leader slot when possible.
  • If an outpost bonus matches one of your teams, great — but don’t weaken a team just to chase a small bonus.
Leader tip: Champions with strong team-wide leader traits (buffs, protection, damage amp, etc.) should usually sit in the leader slot of one of your four teams. One good leader can make a mid-tier team feel much stronger.
War checklist before locking:
  • All four teams complete?
  • Taunt / sustain spread instead of stacked?
  • Raid present on more than one team?
  • Each team still has a clear purpose?
  • Best leaders assigned to leader slots?

Viserion – Growing Terror

Most detailed boss kit currently available
Critical Rules
  • Do not hit while Pacified — he gets angry
  • Brittle = safe to hit while sleeping
  • • Every Raid stack weakens his defenses
  • • On wake: destroys Shields + refills Stamina
  • • Immune to Fire and Poison
  • • Patience meter → True Damage (max HP) when full
  • • Reinforces accelerate the meter and get punished
What to Bring
  • • Reliable Raid (especially from Skills)
  • • Ways to apply Brittle
  • • High single-target pressure
  • • Avoid pure Shield walls
  • • Be careful with frequent Reinforces
Observed pattern

Strong results lean into Raid + control + solid damage.

Simple approach: Bring Raid, bring damage, respect Pacified, don’t over-rely on Shields.

Drogon

  • • Fast champs stop Brimstone Rain
  • • Birthright is strong
  • • Immune to Fire
  • • Can destroy Shields
  • • Speed & pressure > pure tankiness

Rhaegal

  • • Skill every turn → Bleed excellent
  • • Fire deals bonus damage
  • • Keep Taunter alive
  • • Consistent skill pressure is rewarded

Icy Viserion

  • • Reinforce champions punish him
  • • Strong gem teams help
  • • Frequent Skills trigger Icebound sooner
  • • Immune to most Debuffs
Across all dragons: Raid + real damage + not over-committing to Shields covers a lot. Adjust speed, Bleed, Reinforce, or Brittle once you know the specific dragon.
Dragon prep checklist:
  • Which dragon am I fighting?
  • Do I have Raid (or the specific tool that dragon cares about)?
  • Am I bringing real damage, not just survival?
  • Am I over-relying on Shields the boss can erase?
Notes

• Built for Old Peeps on Porches. Public so anyone in the alliance can use it.

• Focus on the strongest champions you currently have. The guidance is meant to help everyone.

• Exact champion lists and full team compositions will expand as more kit data is locked in.

• War outpost bonuses help, but four solid non-overlapping teams matter more for most of the alliance.

• When in doubt: bring Raid, bring damage, and bring something that keeps the team standing.
